Infosecurity Europe, next taking place 24 – 26 April 2012 at Earls Court in London, has confirmed the internal transfer of Infosecurity magazine from Elsevier Ltd.
Infosecurity Europe is both familiar with the publication, and the team behind it, having collaborated together for many years so this partnership of brands and products brings together single leadership to offer the information security community a ‘one stop shop’ for all of its marketing and information needs. Lead-generation opportunities for the vendor community will include bespoke email campaigns, webinars, webcasts and thought leadership opportunities, virtual events and whitepaper campaigns.
Ownership and overall management of the definitive title will pass to Reed Exhibitions Ltd, owners of Infosecurity Europe, one of its four Infosecurity branded events around the globe whilst the magazine’s editorial independence will be meticulously retained, led by the successful and informative editorial team of Eleanor Dallaway and Drew Amorosi.
Following the transfer, both brands will retain their own respected and widely recognised identities. The Infosecurity Magazine and online news sites - www.infosecurity-magazine.com - will continue to excel in providing the industry with news, features, blogs, webinars and much more, whilst complementing the Infosecurity Europe event-focussed website.
Speaking of the merger, Claire Sellick, Event Director for Infosecurity Europe, said, “Unifying the strengths of the Infosecurity Europe event with Infosecurity Magazine – both in print and online – creates a superior and enhanced platform with the potential to provide our clients with a year round calendar of events, for thought leadership and lead generation both face to face and in online environments. Additionally, the collaboration supports our strategy for Infosecurity Europe to become more than a three day event and to expand our collective reach and market access by offering a year round portal to bring the vendor, channel and the information security end user communities together. Infosecurity Magazine’s insightful editorial has generated a strong readership (the majority of which are also visitors to Infosecurity Europe) and we are delighted that under Eleanor Dallaway’s watchful eye it will continue to deliver up-to-the minute news, features, blogs and industry comment on the IT threat landscape 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Eleanor Dallaway, Editor and Associate Publisher of Infosecurity Magazine said, “We are thrilled to be working in collaboration with the Infosecurity Europe show and I am confident that in working together we can offer the market a stronger, more valuable brand to invest in. With our collective market knowledge, databases, editorial and lead generating models, we can provide our readers, exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers superior products with superior results”.
