According to Luis Corrons, Panda's security director, this latest scam differs from earlier emails in that it is perfect English and advertises well-paid jobs in Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
"Then why is this new scam so special? Well, what really strikes me is the fact that they are offering jobs in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Qatar, amongst others", he says, adding that it is a good job that the positions are not in Libya.
"I am sure there will be people who contact them thinking they must be the luckiest people on Earth, but please, this is my message to all cyber-crooks of the world: I strongly recommend that you watch the news in your country, read the papers or just keep yourself a little up-to-date on the current world situation", he says in his latest security blog.
"Do you seriously believe you’re going to get many people willing to work in places that might become the next Egypt or Libya in terms of revolts and social unrest", he adds.
Corrons notes that users sometimes fall victim to this type of scam out of ignorance or due to the lack of basic computer training, but in this case, he thinks that most people will be aware of the international situation in the Middle East.
"At least more than cyber-criminals seem to be", he concludes.
