Network Analyzer monitors network traffic and stores historical data to build up a map of packet flows throughout the network infrastructure. The system is designed to integrate with Defensics, Codenomicon's fuzz testing platform, so that real-world traffic can be used as the basis for fuzz-testing data sets. It can also be exported to open-source tools such as Wireshark for closer inspection, the company said.
The Network Analyzer tool can support at least 10 distributed real-time data recording points while running on a desktop computer, Codenomicon said. The tool can generate tabular views of network flows, it can also display data using a network topology diagram, connection graphs, and earth view maps.
The announcement follows on from Codenomicon's rollout of a free version of its fuzz testing tool. The company now offers free licenses for older versions of its FTP tool, which is a product for testing vulerabilities in implementations of the File Transfer Protocol.
