F-Secure lands international security deal with Vodafone

The deal comes as Vodafone has been quietly expanding beyond its cellular origins and into fixed plus internet communications for many business clients,

F-Secure reports that it makes around 50% its revenues from telecoms operators, who sell its software to their clients on a service basis.

Kimmo Alkio, the firm's CEO, said that F-Secure is proud to have signed this global framework agreement with Vodafone and are committed to ensuring the safety of consumers plus business customers every time they enjoy access to the web and connect with one another.

Vodafone PC Protection by F-Secure is billed as providing a complete security solution for PCs and laptops against all internet threats.

The firm says it offers high performance that is light on memory use and overall system impact, but fast in detecting and blocking malware with the latest protection technologies.
