The (ISC)2 has announced the finalists for its 13th annual U.S. Government Information Security Leadership Awards (GISLA) program.
It also announced the 2016 GISLA Gala keynote: Devon Bryan, CISO at the Federal Reserve.
Sponsored by the (ISC)² U.S. Government Advisory Council (USGAC), the GISLA program was established in 2004 to recognize federal information security leaders (individuals or teams) whose commitment to excellence is advancing the nation’s cybersecurity program in six areas: workforce, technology, process/policy, community awareness, the contractor community and cybersecurity up-and-comers.
“Those named ‘GISLA finalists’ are being recognized for their ability to navigate unchartered territory daily in order to protect our nation’s digital assets,” said Dan Waddell, managing director, North America Region, director of US government affairs, (ISC)² and chair of the (ISC)² USGAC. “I look forward to publically honoring their commitment to excellence and dedication to the government’s overall cyber mission at the upcoming GISLA Gala.”
Devon will join government and industry VIPs and (ISC)² officials to honor the 2016 GISLA recipients on May 19, 2016, at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center in Washington, D.C., along with sponsors Capella, Onapsis, KGSS and KPMG LLP.
