According to FraudTip, fake versions of hotel booking sites from the likes of Days Inn and Ramada, as well as Hyatt, TraveLodge and Comfort Inns, have appeared in recent weeks.
The scam sites are being promoted through the use of online advertising, third-party reservation systems and browser crimeware, says FraudTip, which notes that the problem is escalating.
