Both speakers, who have a wealth of experience between them, will be looking at the problems – and solutions to those problems – as they relate to controlling privileged user accounts.
Bob Tarzey will explain some of the dangers that privileged user access can create, including access to company data resources by outsiders, and the need to meet regulatory compliance as a result.
One of the problems many organisations now face, he will explain, is the use of default user names and the granting of wider access than is necessary.
This issue is largely caused, Tarzey says, by general ignorance about the existence of privileged user accounts in the first place.
Richard Walters, meanwhile, will look at the issue from a vendor and industry veteran's perspective, complementing Tarzey's presentation by detailing the strategy and solutions needed to tackle the problem, which, if left unchecked, could result in a data breach.
Moderating the event will be Steve Gold, Infosecurity's technical editor, who will be hosting a question and answer session in which attendees will be able to ask relevant questions of the panel.
