The Shadow Brokers, best known for bratty demands for millions of dollars in exchange for unverified NSA cyber-weapons, are back, and are offering President Trump some unsolicited advice in the wake of the US missile strike against Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.
In a grammatically challenged open letter to Trump, the group offers “constructive criticism” to the president, who they appear to be great fans of, and they urge him to lay off the attacks on the Russian ally and go back to admiring Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Respectfully, what the f*** are you doing?” the hackers said. "Is appearing you are abandoning ‘your base’, ‘the movement’, and the peoples who getting you elected.” They added, “Do you be remembering when you were sitting there at the Obama Press Party and they were all laughing at you?” they wrote. “Do you be remembering when you touring the country and all those peoples believed in you and supported you? You were those peoples hope. How do you be thinking it will be feeling when those people turn on you? Will they be laughing at you, hating you, and mocking you too?”
They’re also pretty chapped at Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.), a notorious anti-Putin voice and a proponent of the attacks last week. Shadow Brokers labels him an “enemy of the Constitution of the United States” and said, “TheShadowBrokers is sure if we ‘unmasking’, Senator McCain, Magog [Armageddon] itself might come out, many defense contractors, Saudi Princes.”
They suggest that he “celebrate” that the Kremlin helped him get elected, touch on the evils of globalism and Jeff Bezos, offer one-way tickets to Africa and North Korea for dissenters, suggest the establishment of a new Un-American Activities Committee (“TheShadowBrokers is being happy to unmask anyone we considering to be an enemy of the Constitution of the United States”) and, of course, ask for cash donations, in return for being so helpful.
Despite the pro-Syrian stance, they say they’re not working for Russia: “If theshadowbrokers being Russian don’t you think we’d be in all those US government reports on Russian hacking?” they wrote. “We recognize Americans’ having more in common with Russians than Chinese or Globalist or Socialist. Russia and Putin are nationalist and enemies of the Globalist, examples: NATO encroachment and Ukraine conflict. Therefore, Russia and Putin are being best allies until the common enemies are defeated and America is great again.”
