Alex Manea is BlackBerry’s Chief Security Officer, focused on developing strategies to strengthen the company’s security posture. As a founding member of BlackBerry Security, Alex has protected mobile, desktop and IoT devices, networks and infrastructure for over a decade. He is a Certified Software Security Lifecycle Professional and has an Honours degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
As BlackBerry’s Chief Security Officer, Alex regularly speaks with Fortune 500 C-Suites and leaders representing the world’s top global brands, listening and learning about what security concerns keep them up at night. He also tries to spend just as much time speaking with security researchers – ethical hackers devoted to discovering security flaws and vulnerabilities.
