Cher began her career with British Petroleum (BP) in 1980 as a programmer. Since 1996 she has moved into senior roles as Consultant, Project Manager/Business Architect/Analyst covering Service Delivery, Software Specification and Implementation, Risk and Quality Management, Team leading and Mentoring role with major European and US companies in various major financial cities.
She has successfully led and helped multinationals (e.g. Lehman Brothers, Citibank, Clearstream International, Credit Suisse First Boston, Logica plc, J.P.Morgan Investment Bank) to introduce and adopt new approaches in implementing and managing complex projects and systems (e.g. internet banking, compliance and conversions, operational risk management systems, derivatives trading, clearing and settlement, and outsourced programmes/projects).
More recently, she has turned to integrating her relationship management and facilitative skills with her project management and business analysis experiences. Besides her mathematics with computing degree and an MBA, she has also studied specialist modules (i.e. Data Protection, Software Protection, IP) in computer and communications law (LLM with Queen Mary College, London) and qualified in International Commercial Arbitration. She is an accredited Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Mediator.
Her consultancy company, Jollyvip ltd (since 2006), has market exposure covering UK/Europe, and South East Asia.
