Dominic is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for UnionDigital Bank, a game changing digital bank that launched in July of 2022 that was built in an unprecedented five months. UnionDigital Bank provides banking, financial services, crypto, non-fungible tokens (NFT), digital identities, Philippine Peso UnionDigital Stable Coin called PHD, and much more.
He is the senior-level executive responsible for the data security and trust of UnionDigital’s customers, communities, and associates. In addition, Dominic is responsible for establishing and maintaining the information security strategy, architecture, engineering, operations, services, testing and assessment, identity, crypto, automation, AI & ML, GRC, assurance, and Anti-Financial Crime.
UnionDigital’s Information Security Program, under Dominic’s leadership, is considered a forward-thinking industry-leader focused on emerging best-in-class information security practices, innovation, and business enablement broadly engaged across technology, cloud, platform, identity, and product security domains.
Dominic is an experienced CISO with over 27 years of experience and expertise in security, cybersecurity, technology, consulting, operations, cyber warfare, and threat intelligence for both public and private sectors. He has a passion for building world-class security programs while focusing on business enablement. He states, “I must say, I love security, it’s the first thing I think about when I wake up.”
He is recognized as a global leader in cybersecurity and has extensive international security and cybersecurity experience in senior leadership positions working for government agencies, FinTech, financial institutions, digital banks, banks, crypto, super apps, technology companies, service providers, and consulting firms across Asia, Middle East, Europe, North America and South America.
Dominic serves the larger Information Security industry through speaking engagements, lectures, webinars, podcasts, mentoring fellow CISOs, and occasional publications. He is a member of ClubCISO, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) STAR Panel, DevSecOps, and EC-Council CISO Summit Program, among others. Dominic was recently a winner of the CSO 30 UK and was recently awarded the 2022 Top 100 CISOs Awards.
An avid supporter of STEM programs, Dominic actively supports several local and international programs to encourage and promote the inclusive development of the next generation security practitioners.
