Dr. Pat Engebretson has spent many years as a DSU faculty member, teaching courses in computer science, networking, and cyber security, and has been Dean of The Beacom College. Engebretson creates an environment that fosters student growth and an atmosphere in which faculty and students are excited to teach, research, and learn. He also has industry experience in banking and as Chief Information Officer at a regional electric cooperative. Engebretson has published many articles related to cyber security and a book titled “The Basics of Hacking and Penetration Testing: Ethical Hacking and Penetration Made Easy.” He is an alumnus of DSU, with a Doctor of Science in Information Assurance.
