Mr. Roberts’ cybersecurity experience runs a gamut of diverse scenarios and includes ransomware attacks, large-scale data exfiltration, spear phishing attacks and employee data theft. He also has extensive experience counseling clients through cybersecurity preparedness exercises and designing scenario plans and response playbooks.
Mr. Roberts has provided cybersecurity counsel to a range of companies, from publicly traded Fortune 500 businesses to smaller operators with less established infrastructure and communications functions. Mr. Roberts’s most recent notable cybersecurity engagements include helping manage crisis response and scenario planning for a large FinTech company following a ransomware attack and providing strategic counsel and materials development to a DNS provider following an intrusion by a sophisticated actor.
In addition to his work in cybersecurity preparedness and response, Mr. Roberts has played a key role in some of FTI Consulting’s highest-profile issues management engagements, including a secondment to the Boy Scouts of America as they navigated a variety of litigation and reputational issues and eventually filed for bankruptcy.
