Kuan is a consultant lawyer. Formerly a finance/insolvency lawyer, she now specialises in technology law, particularly data protection and Internet/cloud. She is the primary author of chapters in Cloud Computing Law (OUP 2013) dealing with cloud technologies, security and risk, negotiated contracts, the UK G-Cloud programme and (4 chapters) data protection in the cloud.
She has published numerous articles on cloud computing and data protection, and speaks regularly at industry events. Kuan is also a member of the Society for Computer & Law's Media Board.
