Mei Danowski is a researcher focusing on strategic threat intelligence and East Asian political, military, economic and strategic affairs. Her work has supported various U.S. government organizations. She has also held roles in the private sector, including Microsoft, Accenture, and Verisign.
Mei has previously presented her research at Hague TIX, CyberwarCon, RSA Conference Asia Pacific & Japan, CodeBlue Tokyo, and the Chinese Internet Research Conference the Netherlands and Singapore.
In 2023, Mei co-founded Natto Thoughts, an online publication that provides cyber threat intelligence research and analysis from geopolitical, economic, social, cultural and linguistic perspectives. Natto Thoughts’ analysis has been featured, mentioned and quoted in various media worldwide, including The Associated Press, The Guardian, NPR’s the World, Australian Financial Review and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
