Noel Barbour is a security professional with 18 years Defence Forces experience in Communications and Information Services and Cybersecurity as (CIS) Engineer Officer with the Irish Air Corps CIS Squadron.
In his time with the Defence Forces, Noel participated in a broad range of information security related and technology implementation projects and participated in key Cyber Security exercises at home and overseas.
Noel has also worked with the National Cyber Security Centre on secondment, lectured CIS officers in training on the Subject of Information Security Management (to MSc Level 9) and has a good deal of experience in the Cyber Security area.
For BH Consulting, Noel acts as Chief Information Security Officer for a number of clients, carries out Security Maturity Assessments, builds cybersecurity programs and assists clients at all stages of ISO 27001 Information Security alignment and transition projects.
Noel has a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering, Master of Science in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation from University College Dublin and Master of Arts in Leadership, Management and Defence Studies from Maynooth University.
