Omer Farooq is a security analyst and software engineer at Independent Security Evaluators (ISE)) in Baltimore, MD. His primary areas of interest include secure cloud architecture, DevOpSec, embedded and mobile software development and system engineering.
Mr. Farooq holds a B.S. degree in computer engineering from Stony Brook University and an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is also pursing a Ph.D. in the Computer Engineering from Maryland at Baltimore County (UMBC) where he is researching non-obstrustive network traffic routing in wireless sensor networks using signal processing and machine learning techniques for data analytics. In the past, he has presented research material at RSA, Bsides DC, Bsides San Diego, and AWS User forums.
