Paul Fletcher has 23 years of experience in information technology and information security. Prior to joining Rackspace, Paul served as a trusted cyber security advisor to customers and partners providing security strategies for integration of “as-a-service” Cloud solutions with brick and mortar IT infrastructure. Paul also leveraged his threat intelligence research to design and execute “proof of concept” demonstrations of emerging threats, emulating a cyber attacker’s method of attack and the capabilities to detect and defend.
He also has more than seven years working with Fortune 50 organizations, advising executive level leadership and elected officials regarding security threats and mitigation strategies. Along with providing security solution designs for organizations from the Energy and Retail sectors, Paul also worked with critical infrastructure organizations across the nation to implement risk management plans and increase their security posture. His experience includes multiple years in the Financial Services industry as well as the Department of Defense.
Paul has over 15 years’ experience leading operational teams, where he provided leadership in spearheading security for customer financial electronic commerce web sites and directed a technical team to design and implement network security, customer data integrity, application security, forensics investigation, threat intelligence and incident response. Mr. Fletcher holds both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
