Pukhraj Singh is the Product Owner for Cyber Threat Detection at SilverSky by BAE Systems. He is a threat intelligence and geopolitical analyst with 15 years of experience.
Pukhraj played an instrumental role in the setting up of the cyber defence operations centre of the Indian government, under the Prime Minister's Office.
He was the first threat intelligence professional to be laterally inducted (direct entry) into the government from the private sector after the 26/11 terror attacks.
It was a multi-disciplinary tenure ranging from geopolitical doctrine formulation – eventually approved by the Prime Minister – to the very brass-tacks of cyber operations.
Later, Pukhraj spent some time at Aadhaar, India's flagship national ID project as its first cybersecurity manager.
He also had very brief stints in the private sector, working with Symantec Canada's DeepSight – the industry's first threat intelligence team – and other American, Canadian, and Israeli firms.
Pukhraj’s writings have been published by the US Military Academy, Indian Army, and most of the leading Indian newspapers like The Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Deccan Herald and The Tribune.
He has spoken at international security conferences (Nullcon, BSides Delhi, IT Web South Africa, Indian National Defence University, and College of Air Warfare, etc.).
